Boulder Creek High School Jaguar Pride Band Boosters (“BCHS Band Boosters,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports the student music program at Boulder Creek High School in Anthem, Arizona. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our website (bchs.band) or interact with our organization.

We are a parent-volunteer booster organization supporting the BCHS band program. Our EIN is 87-3442177. We are not affiliated with, nor do we speak on behalf of, the Deer Valley Unified School District or Boulder Creek High School administration.

  • Payment information processed through third-party platforms such as Venmo, PayPal, or Cheddar Up when you make a donation or purchase. We do not store your payment card details on our servers.
  • Membership & volunteer information collected through sign-up forms (name, contact details, student name and grade, volunteer preferences).
  • Website usage data collected automatically by our hosting provider and analytics tools, including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and communications.
  • Process donations, payments, and membership registrations.
  • Send updates about band events, meetings, and volunteer opportunities.

  • Google Drive — storage and sharing of public financial documents and meeting minutes.
  • Venmo / PayPal / Cheddar Up — payment processing for donations and activity fees.
  • Charms Office Assistant — band program management (used by the school’s band director, subject to their privacy policy).

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their policies.

6. Photography & Media

We photograph and video-record students at band performances, competitions, and events for use on our website, social media, and promotional materials. By participating in BCHS Band Boosters-sponsored events, participants (and parents/guardians of minors) consent to such use.

If you do not wish to have photographs of yourself or your student used in our materials, please notify us in writing using the contact information below, and we will make reasonable efforts to honor that request.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable precautions to protect information we collect. Our website uses HTTPS encryption. Payment transactions are handled by PCI-compliant third-party processors. However, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We retain contact and donor information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with applicable law (including IRS requirements for nonprofit records), and support our ongoing programs. You may request deletion of your information at any time by contacting us.
